I belive the 3.8" pulley is supposed to run 8psi on a GSR, but I'm only getting 6psi. It doesn't peak to 8 then drop down to 6, it just goes to six and stays there. So either, my boost gauge is wrong or I need to tighten my sc belt. My question is for those of you who needed to tighten your sc belt, did the boost stay constantly at a lower boost level or did it peak and drop down?

It usually peaks and then drops down... unless your belts are REALLY loose. Also consider the possibility that your crank pulley may be SMALLER than a USDM GSR pulley (like a type "R", or worse yet, a JDM Type "R")... or worst of all, an Unorthodox UNDERDRIVE pulley.
If the gauge is off, you will notice this when the car is turned off. The gauge should read ZERO with the car off... so if the reading is actually a bit in vaccuum, then the boost reading would be low... and high if the gauge shows boost when off.

I did some searching and it looks like map voltage at 6psi is 3.78V and 8psi 4.095V. I guess once I check that it'll narrow the problem down.

The belt was pretty tight when I installed it. Shouldn't it squeek or something if its really loose? The crank pulley is stock. The boost gauge reads 0 when the car is off, but the thing is the guy I bought the boost gauge from also used another gauge to read boost.. and said that the other gauge was off by 2psi, but maybe it's the other way around. So what voltage should the stock map read at 8psi vs 6 if it's reading boost?
Thanks.

yea i never noticed my boost guage was wrong till i checked it one day, i thought i maxed out at 6.5 psi, when my car is off it show -6 vac, so i was really running 8+ psi, not sure yet because my car doesnt boost anymore.
